The earth is the LORD's and the fullness thereof, the world and those who dwell therein,
"The earth is the LORD's" sounds like a property claim, and in a sense it is — but it's not the kind that should make you nervous. It's less like a landlord asserting rights and more like an artist standing behind their work: this, and everyone in it, still belongs to me.
That includes you, whether or not you've ever thought about God at all. The verse doesn't say the earth belongs to the religious, or to people who've said the right prayers. It says the world and everyone in it — full stop.
If you've ever felt like you don't belong anywhere, or like your existence is some kind of accident nobody claimed, this verse pushes back on that quietly. It says you were never unclaimed to begin with.
