Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good! Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him!
"Taste and see" is a strange invitation for a religious text to make. It doesn't ask for belief first. It doesn't demand a signed statement of faith before you're allowed near the table. It just says: try this, and find out for yourself.
That's a different posture than most people expect from faith — less like a lecture, more like being handed something and told to notice what happens when you actually experience it rather than argue about it from a distance.
