‘Ah, Lord GOD! It is you who have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and by your outstretched arm! Nothing is too hard for you.
Jeremiah says this while making an oddly stubborn financial decision — buying a field in a country about to be overrun by an enemy army. On paper, it made no sense. So before he explains why he did it, he stops to remind himself who he's dealing with: the one who made heaven and earth, for whom nothing is too hard.
Notice the order. He doesn't start with confidence about the outcome. He starts with a fact about God's power, and lets that settle before deciding what to do with the impossible situation in front of him. That's a very different move than manufacturing optimism about your circumstances.
If you're facing something that looks like it has no reasonable way forward, this verse isn't offering a guarantee about the specific outcome you want. It's offering a reason to at least ask the question seriously — is this actually too hard for God, or does it just look that way from where you're standing?
