A name written on a robe and a thigh — it's a strange place to put a title, until you realize what it's doing. This isn't a name given by a crowd or a press release. It's written into the very clothing and body of the one it describes, like it isn't a claim at all so much as a fact about who he simply is.
"King of kings and Lord of lords" is the kind of title everyone else has to borrow, prop up, or defend. Kings need armies, treaties, propaganda to keep the title believable. This name doesn't need any of that. It's just written there, plainly, on someone who apparently doesn't need to convince anyone of it.
If you've only ever encountered authority that has to fight to be taken seriously, this image is worth sitting with. It's describing power that doesn't posture, doesn't need to perform. Whatever you make of it, it's not asking to be feared into belief — it's simply stated, and left for you to consider.
